Our Program

Bodhi Yoga Academy was founded in 2014 under Bodhi Movement Yoga. We had one dream; to travel the world and share our love for yoga with as many people as possible.

In our 200-Hr Yoga Alliance Certified Vinyasa Teacher Training Program, not only will you deepen your physical practice, but you will grow to have a better understanding of the roots and soulful purpose of the true nature of yoga. You will learn how to teach different types of yoga to all types of bodies and practice teaching so you are prepared to begin as soon as you arrive back home. At Bodhi Yoga Academy, we teach advanced Vinyasa with a strong Ashtanga base, while also focusing on;
Anatomy, Yogic Philosophy, History and Tradtions of Yoga, Business of Yoga, Social Media, Marketing, Public Speaking, Beginner & Gentle Yoga.

Learn to empower yourself through your practice by deepening your strength, breath, mental focus and balance through intense practice of vinyasa, arm balances and inversions.  A daily sadhana – meditation, pranayama, and asana practice will be encouraged as well as reading of sacred texts and practicing of the Eight Limbs of Yoga in your everyday life. Be prepared to grow into the person you’ve always wanted to be.  Teaching yoga is truly a path of service. We will require all students to commit to a "seva", or service project for the community. Living a yogic lifestyle starts first in your heart and comes from finding a solid grounding in your every day life. This training will help you to become the best brightest YOU possible. ​

At least 1 hour of homework and reading a night along with pre-requisite homework and readings due prior to the start date of the training.
 Lectures/Vinyasa classes are subject to change based on the needs of the group in the moment. The last week of the training incorporates far more physical vinyasa hours, which is why it's important to cultivate a consistent yoga practice before you attend the training.

"Last summer, a life changing opportunity presented itself in front of me. Yoga sutra #1 by Swami Jnaneshvara Bharati, "Now, after having done prior preparation through life and other practices, the study and practice of Yoga begins." Because I was ready for this change, I found my academy and my teachers at Bodhi Yoga Academy. I attended the 200 hour Jackson, NJ training in the summer of 2015. Through discussion and adjustments, I was able to refine my alignment and help adjust others safely and effectively. Through mandatory classes and optional self-study, I was able to build discipline and maximize improvements. We had daily discussions on yoga philosophies to help us understand who we are and how to treat others, ourselves, and the world around us.
